This partnership aims to optimize automation technology, especially for dynamic machine parts. Energy chains are essential for modern mechanical engineering because they supply moving parts with energy. As automation tasks become more complex, the demands on these components also increase. The proliferation of robots in production plants and logistics centers in particular is driving innovation, often initiated by Igus.

High-quality energy chains require not only plastics know-how, but also expertise in cable and connection technology. This is where Murrelektronik comes in, known for its ready-to-connect cables and decades of experience. Both companies have recognized that their successful cooperation should be further deepened.

At SPS 2024, they presented the next stage of their partnership. Together, they are working on robust and cost-effective decentralized installation concepts. The results of this partnership could be seen at the exhibition stands of both companies: Murrelektronik is showing energy chains from Igus, while igus is presenting Murrelektronik's automation technology.
