MVTec expands customer support

At the beginning of 2023, the new MVTec Customer Services department officially started its external work

In September 2022, MVTec launched a new department called Customer Services. At the beginning of 2023, the new department officially started its work externally. “We see high growth potential in our industry. We can only exploit this if we are as close as possible to the customer. One of the ways we achieve this goal is that we increasingly look after our customers in the DACH region directly. That's why we're taking our customer support to a new level." Olaf Munkelt, Managing Director of MVTec, the step. Mario Bohnacker has been promoted to head of the department.

The new Customer Services department builds on existing support teams. These were separated from the engineering area and reassembled in the department. “More than 35 experienced application engineers are available to our customers. This puts us in an excellent position to be able to meet our claim of offering first-class customer support," explains Bohnacker. Customers from German-speaking countries primarily benefit from the direct support provided by the manufacturer. Customers from other countries will continue to be looked after by their sales partners, but if necessary, the Customer Services department will also provide support worldwide.

Bohnacker, who has taken on the role of department head, has been with the company since 2017 and has been product manager for Halcon since the beginning of 2020. Due to the change from Bohnacker, the position of Technical Product Manager Halcon was vacant. The position was filled internally by Jan Gärtner on January 1st, 2023. Gärtner has been working for MVTec since 2020 - previously as an employee in product development. His new tasks as product manager include identifying future and customer-relevant technologies and converting them into product innovations. In addition, Gärtner will coordinate the further development of Halcon in order to create maximum customer benefit.
