Sucessful kickoff of new QBN photonics working group

The new Quantum Business Network (QBN) Working Group Photonic Quantum Technologies (WG PQT) aims to build a thriving and interconnected ecosystem for growth and development in this cutting-edge field. It aims to foster an environment where collaborations are seamless and practical applications develop rapidly. By connecting research institutions, industry leaders, and government bodies, the working group wants to accelerate advancements and focus on elevating the industry and the global quantum technology market. The gathering elected Giulia Guarda, quantum photonics consultant for QTI s.r.l. (Quantum Telecommunications Italy) and Trevor Demille, head of quantum hardware R&D at Quix Quantum, as leaders of the working group.
The working group’s mission is to advance the photonic quantum technology industry by building connecting experts, companies, and research institutions. It will promote collaborations through workshops, meetings, and consortia, inspiring investment and interest by showcasing innovative research and commercial products.
It addresses industry challenges, develops practical use cases, and defines technology compatibility and integration standards.
