Trotec opens up new strategic business area
New “solutions” business unit focuses on customer-specific industrial laser solutions.
At the beginning of April, the new business unit with was established. Before the end of this year, the business unit which focuses on industrial laser solutions will present new products, e.g. for inline marking. This will complement Trotec’s existing product portfolio and in the future customers will be able to laser process large series in their production line in short cycle times.
In order to meet the technical and professional demands in this area, Trotec was recruit a team of external and internal industry specialists. In addition, Harald Böhler, who has been managing director for the Markdorf location for several years, will take over the further technical development of the business unit as CTO. Together with the industry specialist Franz Eder, as CSO responsible for sales expansion, both take over the management for “solutions” and are convinced: “The bundled competences will help us to optimally support globally positioned industrial producers and to expand this business area.”
Strategically located in the four-country corner, the Trotec site in Markdorf lies directly at Lake Constance. For years, the marking lasers of the SpeedMarker product family have been produced there, as well as customized laser solutions for a wide range of industrial applications. This extensive industrial experience is being utilized and the existing customizing specialist team is being integrated into the new business unit.
