The Supervisory Board deeply regrets this decision. Maximilian Foerst, currently Head of Zeiss Greater China, will take over as President and CEO on June 1, 2025. Foerst has built up a strong business in China and brings extensive international experience, particularly in the field of medical technologies.

Under Dr. Weber's leadership, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG laid important strategic foundations and expanded its service portfolio with the acquisition of the Dutch Ophthalmic Research Center. The Supervisory Board thanks Dr. Weber for his outstanding work and wishes him all the best. Dr. Weber sees his retirement as an opportunity to take on new challenges. Maximilian Foerst is looking forward to his new role and to the further development of the company in a dynamic market environment.
