EMVA and AIA cooperate in the field of market research

The European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) and the North American AIA have signed a cooperation agreement in the field of market research. The associations agreed to provide from now on quarterly market reports compatible to each other.

In order to achieve such compatibility, both market report formats will consist of a two page report detailing turnover per product category, growth history and growth expectation. The report perspective will be of a market report as opposed to an industry report. Says EMVA Member of the Board of Directors Gabriele Jansen: "I am very happy that the market data research of both large international associations is now aligned so that both data sets can be compared and joined - for the first time ever."

The cooperation includes that both associations might distribute the combined quarterly tracking report to the respective contributing companies. This means that companies providing data to the European report will also receive the quarterly North American data, even if they did not contribute to the US report, and vice versa. Furthermore, both associations might distribute the annual combined tracking report to their respective members, i.e. members of the EMVA would receive the annual US analysis and vice versa.

AIA and EMVA are looking forward to this cooperation as it is intended to bring significant additional value to each association's members and will further help to better understand the global market developments and to better inform all stakeholders about the machine vision industry.

In addition, EMVA will continue to research Europe region by region and provide specific country reports to the EMVA members, with the ultimate goal to achieve transparency of the European machine vision industry and market.
