EVK DI Kerschhaggl, a provider of hyperspectral imaging solutions for industrial applications, is acquiring the rights of Perception Park's chemometric software. These include components of the former Perception Studio and Perception Systems products. Following the transaction, EVK will hold full ownership of this software, including all associated intellectual property rights.

EVK CEO Matjaz Novak says, "We acquired the chemometric software from Perception Park to integrate parts of the software code in our market-proven and well-established EVK Sqalar product, a software for creating and validating classification models based on hyperspectral imaging data."

He adds, however, that EVK has no current plans to launch software products to replace the discontinued Perception Park products Perception Studio and Perception Systems.

Software for hyperspectral applications in the process industry

EVK Sqalar chemometric software, in combination with EVK Helios hyperspectral cameras and EVK Aalpha edge computer, provides a platform for rapid development and deployment of sorting and monitoring applications in the process industry.

Hyperspectral camera systems can classify objects and parts of them based on their chemical composition and allow, for example, quantitative measurement of chemical properties such as dry matter, protein, moisture, polymers, calorific value in RDF.
