Fraunhofer IPK is a new member of the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance

In the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance with the central office in Fürth, specialist departments from 15 Fraunhofer institutes and facilities to date work closely together on the subjects of industrial vision and optical and acoustic measurement and testing technology. The Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Construction Technology IPK from Berlin has been a 16th member since March 2020. As a production engineering R&D partner with strong IT competence, Fraunhofer IPK offers system solutions, individual technologies and services for digitally integrated production. The institute brings its expertise in the field of machine vision as well as technologies for AI-based value-added services, optical surface inspection and image-based digitization to the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance.

The Fraunhofer IPK membership now increases the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance to 16 members. The »Fraunhofer Vision members« exchange knowledge and experience with each other, use the synergies of different skills and cooperate on projects. With a clear focus on applied research, the common objective is to make new developments in the field of image processing and non-contact measurement and test technology usable under industrial conditions.
