ifm opens company building in Singapore

ifm has now inaugurated a new company building at the Singapore location, which doubles the previously available space.

The subsidiary ifm electronic Asia in Singapore was founded in 2010 with just ten employees. There are now almost 100 employees working there, and production works in two shifts. The original company headquarters had become too small, which is why it was decided in 2019 to move into a new building.

Because significantly more space is now available, both production and logistics can work more efficiently. For example, the material flow in production has been optimized, and the use of AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) and digital production planning are planned for the future. Warehouse and shipping are also designed in such a way that automated concepts can be implemented in the future. Quality control in incoming goods is directly integrated into the warehouse, which contributes to greater efficiency. Additional areas are available for research and development as well as customer service. And the social rooms in the new building are also much more spacious. A little more than half of the approximately 10,000 m2 of the new building are currently occupied - so there is still enough space for future growth.
