Innovations in sensor technology honored
The AMA Association for Sensor and Measurement Technology has honored two development teams with the AMA Innovation Award 2025.

The winners are NanoStruct from Würzburg and Endress+Hauser Flow from Switzerland. Both teams will share the prize money of €10,000. The award ceremony took place at the opening of the Sensor + Test trade fair in Nuremberg, marking the 25th anniversary of the prize.
NanoStruct developed a rapid test for identifying pathogenic bacteria in food using SERS technology. This enables rapid detection using nanostructured sensors and is about to be launched on the market. Endress+Hauser Flow created a clamp-on ultrasonic sensor that enables contactless flow measurements at temperatures of up to 550 °C. This technology offers new applications in thermal energy storage and high-temperature processes. Both projects demonstrate the pioneering spirit and diversity of technological innovations.
