Next EMVA Business Conference to take place in Amsterdam

The 8th European Machine Vision Business Conference took place in Istanbul /Turkey, on April 16th & April 17th, 2010. With close to 150 participants from 20 countries the EMVA Conference once again exceeded the previous year's turnout.

The conference programme included in-depth presentations covering sessions on machine vision in Turkey, business trends, technology trends and machine vision markets in North-America, Japan and Europe. The attendees received current figures, not previously published. A panel discussion with experts of companies and an institute illustrated the research opportunities in Europe for machine vision and how to benefit from them. The motivation speech of Mark McGregor revealed deeper and remarkable insights in "Leadership after the crisis".

"With the second highest turnout ever in the number of participants, the EMVA Conference was unperturbed by the economic crisis. The Conference will also be remembered for the travel hardship caused by the volcanic ash cloud over Europe. Stranded participants seized the opportunity for even more networking. The conference once again proved its status as the most high-level event for networking and business intelligence for the machine vision industry in Europe", EMVA President Mats Gökstorp said.

The ample networking opportunities during the conference, e.g. the Get-together at a roof restaurant or the conference dinner at the Adile Sultan Palace were used for expanding business contacts and for intensive discussions.

The next EMVA Conference will take place on May 13th & May 14th, 2011 in Amsterdam / The Netherlands.
