Sale of Vincorion completed

Jenoptik successfully completed the sale of Vincorion on June 30, 2022. Approvals have been granted by the relevant authorities and the necessary closing conditions have been met.

Vincorion's buyer is a fund managed by Star Capital Partnership. Vincorion develops, produces and sells mechatronic products, particularly for the security and defense sector, aviation, and the rail and transport industry.

The realized equity value is in the mid double-digit million euro range. In addition, there are claims and obligations (e.g. from pension commitments) in the mid double-digit million euro range as well as certain earn-out components. The enterprise value is around 130 million euros. It was agreed not to disclose further details. With around 700 employees, Vincorion achieved sales of 145.0 million euros in 2021. Due to the signing of the contract for the sale of Vincorion, these activities were already presented as discontinued operations in the 2021 annual financial statements.
