Silicon Software merges into Basler AG
Almost three years after the takeover of Silicon Software GmbH by Basler AG, the name Silicon Software disappears. Production, logistics, sales and technical support of the two companies have long been united anyway, explains Basler. The merger is now the final step.

Basler fully acquired Silicon Software GmbH, based in Mannheim, Germany, in 2018. Afterwards, the individual departments were gradually integrated into the functional areas of Balser. In the case of Production, Logistics, Sales, and Technical Support, this happened directly after the acquisition.
Dr. Dietmar Ley, CEO of Basler, explains, "The employees of both companies have already been working so closely together since the acquisition that the step to legally unite both companies under the name Basler AG feels very natural and logical. "
Silicon Software had in particular frame grabbers and software (VisualApplets) in its portfolio. This will now become part of Basler's regular offering.
