The robot was sold to Andreas Mayr GmbH, based in Schrobenhausen, Bavaria. Andrea Alboni, General Manager Western Europe at Universal Robots, introduced the celebrations: “We are proud to have reached this milestone in the DACH region. At the same time, we look forward to supporting another farm with our technology and welcoming it to the ranks of our users.”

Andreas Mayr uses the UR10e in his welding shop as part of a Lorch Cobot Welding Solution. The company received support for the integration from Riel GmbH. “It is difficult for us to find qualified welders. In order to still be able to produce reliably, we decided to automate,” explains Andreas Mayr. The UR10e welds various workpieces in series production at the specialist for turning and milling technology. The managing director adds: “With the help of the cobot, we can process around 30 percent more parts in the same time. This significantly increases our productivity.”

Andrea Alboni is satisfied with the future: "Cobot number 11,111 makes it clear that we are on the right track together with our partners. We continue to lower the barrier to entry into automation. The variety of applications on the market is constantly increasing. Thanks to cobots, companies are mastering challenges such as a lack of employees or insecure supply chains.”
