Blechexpo/Schweisstec 2025 is getting ready
Full halls, a high level of internationality, and a clear thematic structure – sheet metal processing and fabricating companies are looking forward to Blechexpo/Schweisstec from October 21-24, 2025.

From October 21 to 24, 2025, the top players in sheet metal processing and joining technology will converge at Blechexpo/Schweisstec in Stuttgart. With nine full halls, exciting innovations for the "best Award 2025," a top-class supporting program, and Career Friday, the fall event will once again set a milestone for the industry. The range of topics covers everything from systems and peripherals, control systems, software, handling and feeding to quality assurance. Expert presentations, a conference, and the Career Day as part of the exhibition will provide new impetus.
Blechexpo/Schweisstec is a highly regarded trade event where suppliers and users can find out about the latest developments and exchange ideas in direct discussions with experts. The hall structure ensures a clear overview and an efficient visit to the trade fair: Halls 1, 3, 5, and 7 are dedicated to sheet metal, tube, and profile processing. Halls 4 and 6 focus on punching technologies. Hall 9 is home to cutting, joining, and connecting technologies. Hall 8 focuses on pressing and forming technologies. And finally, Hall 10 covers steel, metal services, and surface technology. The trade fair duo combines two central technologies of production engineering; with its clear thematic structure, all trade fair visitors can discover new systems and solutions across entire value chains in one place.
Highly interesting side events complement the trade fair activities. The results of the “best-Award” are eagerly awaited, for example. The competition has once again attracted a great deal of interest this year. This driver of innovation has become a traditional part of the Blechexpo/Schweisstec supporting program and will set new standards in terms of progress, change, and the future in five categories: sheet metal, tube, and profile processing; press and forming technologies; punching technologies; cutting, joining, and connecting technologies; and steel, metal service, and surface technology. The independent expert jury will select the winners in each category and present them with their awards at the end of the first day of the trade fair on October 21, 2025, at 4 p.m. This panel of experts includes Annedore Bose-Munde, technical editor for business and technology, Dr. Maximilian Hausmann, manager of automation and electric welding equipment at ZVEI, Heinz Wöllmer, technology planner at Siemens Gerätewerk Amberg, Erich Utz, also from Siemens Gerätewerk in Amberg, Robin Kurth, group leader for forming machines and project manager at Fraunhofer IWU, and Frauke Finus, senior editor at blechnet and editor at MM Maschinenmarkt at Vogel Communications Group.
The topics at Blechexpo/Schweisstec are all about the future. Over four days, a lecture forum will provide the perfect setting for direct knowledge transfer and personal networking. Another highlight is the “best CONGRESS” with Stahl-Kommunikation on the second day of the trade fair, October 22, 2025, starting at 4:30 p.m. Here, experts will discuss the topic of “Artificial intelligence and the future of sheet metal working/joining technology”; visitors will learn about AI technologies and their potential in manufacturing and exchange best practice examples.
Finally, Career Friday on October 24, 2025, will focus on insights, contacts, and future career opportunities. Under the motto “Shape your dreams, metal your future,” exhibitors and trade fair organizers invite schoolchildren, students, teachers, university representatives, and young professionals to get an idea of the technologies and future opportunities in the sheet metal processing industry. Participants can get in touch with industry experts on guided tours, ask questions, experience technology, and explore career paths. This campaign is therefore an ideal opportunity to get to know working environments and establish direct personal contacts with companies.
