HD thermal images of 1280 x 1024 pixels: FLIR SC8400

As from today, R&D and Science professionals can see the world of thermal imaging in HD. High quality thermal images of 1280 x 1024 pixels will reveal the smallest thermal anomalies, allow to see the smallest of details and assure excellent measurement accuracy. The FLIR SC8400 thermal imaging camera is designed to provide the best thermal measurement performance together with the most advanced connectivity.

Best possible image quality, high accuracy and reliability

The FLIR SC8400 is equipped with a cooled Indium Antimonide (InSb) detector that produces crisp thermal images of 1280 x 1024 pixels. It allows seeing the smallest of details and offers 4 times more thermal data than the standard 640 x 512 pixel images - and it can measure temperatures up to +3,000 °C. The FLIR SC8400 detects temperature differences smaller than 25mK (18mK typically). With the "lock-in" process temperature differences as small as 1mK will become clearly visible. Thanks to the "auto exposure" feature, the camera automatically adjusts its temperature range to best fit the thermal scene. High accuracy of +/- 1 ̊C or +/- 1% produces sensitive thermal images. Its most advanced features include an ultra high frame rate with windowing, superframing, a wide range of interchangeable lenses and connectivity options, the motorized filter wheel and various FLIR proprietary features.
