Inductive displacement and angle transducers for underwater use

The contactless displacement or twisting of a NiFe core creates a corresponding inductance distribution in the two coil halves. In addition, the conversion into a standardised output signal is carried out by the integrated electronics. The connection cable is inserted into the waterproof encapsulated sensor through a pressure-resistant PG gland. This design allows underwater use up to 50 m water depth. In case of increased mechanical stress, a PU tube protects the displacement transducer from damage. Furthermore, the sensors can measure travels up to 360 mm and measuring angles up to 120 °.
