Industrial Inspection in the Non-Visible Area

Photo

The exo990, fxo990 and exo991 swir cameras cover the visible VIS to the invisible swir range with a waveband of 400 to 1700 nm. They have a resolution of 0.3 MP or 1.3 MP, frame rates of 90 to 259 frames/s, a sensor format with a diagonal of 8.2 mm or 4.1 mm, temperature management and modern interfaces such as GigE Vision and CoaXPress-12. The technical basis is the Senswir sensors from Sony. The so-called Cu-Cu bonding leads to smaller pixel structures and thus to a higher resolution.

Invisible product defects can be detected by using ultraviolet wavelengths

The fxo487MCX and fxo487MXGE UV cameras feature an integrated 8.1 MP sensor from Sony. This enables the detection of invisible product defects through ultra-sharp, high-resolution UV images. The most important areas of application for these cameras, which are equipped with CoaXPress 12 and 10GigE interfaces, are complex inspection tasks, for example in the battery, semiconductor, glass, recycling, gemstone and automotive industries.

Polarized cameras inspect non-metallic materials

SVS-Vistek currently offers six polarized models in the EXO series with 5 or 12 megapixel resolution and frame rates from 10 to 75 fps. The polarized cameras feature polarized sensors from Sony IMX264MZR, IMX250MZR and IMX253MZR and operate with a matrix of polarizing filters of different orientations (0°, 90°, 45° and 135°) applied directly to the sensor in each 2x2 pixel array. Thus, the degree of polarization of the light, its polarization direction and the intensity of the polarized light can be measured and evaluated simultaneously. Polarization measurement allows, for example, the inspection of non-metallic transparent or reflective materials such as water, plastic or glass, as well as the inspection of difficult surfaces or the reading of black writing on a black background. In the pharmaceutical industry, polarization cameras are particularly suitable for blister inspection in order to reliably detect and sort out defective tablet packaging or assemblies.
