Slip rings for medical technology

Bus signals, RF and video signals can be transmitted just like the electrical power supply, analog and digital sensor signals or data lines in the giga-bit range. In surgical robots, slip rings must be used to bridge several rotatable connections with absolute reliability and without delay so that the surgical tool can ultimately work precisely. Servotecnica slip rings also ensure the power supply in the filigree articulated arms of swiveling lights on operating tables or dentist's chairs. Other fields of application are automated analyzers in laboratories, as well as rehabilitation and care robots or endoscopic applications.

The compact, encapsulated slip rings have ball bearings and a robust plastic housing. If required, variants with an aluminum housing are also possible. A gold coating on the track and the pickup reduces interference and ensures optimal signal transmission. The SVTS A 01 series, available in the sizes 12 mm, 22 mm and 25 mm, can even be supplied with up to 56 slip ring tracks for 2 A and 230 VAC. At speeds of up to 250 rpm, they achieve a long service life of 107 revolutions.
