With the strategic acquisition of Procon X-Ray, LK Metrology is expanding its portfolio of high-precision inspection solutions to include industrial CT imaging.

Procon X-Ray was founded in 2003 and is based in Sarstedt near Hanover, Germany. The company develops and manufactures modular CT and X-ray inspection equipment for industrial and scientific applications. Its systems are known for their high-resolution focus X-ray technology and customizable hardware and software. They are used worldwide in the automotive, aerospace, electronics, medical, and materials research industries.

This acquisition expands LK Metrology's portfolio, which now includes traditional coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), portable measuring arms, and laser scanners, as well as high-resolution X-ray devices. Both companies intend to work closely together to improve existing CT systems and develop new, flexible, integrated measurement technology solutions.
