Hannover Messe 2022 will start at the end of May

Organizer postpones the date due to Corona

19.01.2022 - The next Hanover Fair will be held from May 30th to June 2nd. With this, Deutsche Messe AG wants to react to the current pandemic situation and create planning security for exhibitors and visitors.

In 2022, the Hannover Messe will take place from May 30th to June 2nd and not in April as previously planned. The postponement of the date to the beginning of June 2022 was carried out in close coordination with the exhibitor advisory board of the Hannover Messe and the partner associations VDMA (Association of German Mechanical and Plant Engineering) and ZVEI (Association of the Electrical and Digital Industry).

"Due to the persistently high incidences in Germany and many neighboring countries, we decided together with our exhibitors to postpone the Hannover Messe to early summer this year. Last year we found that the summer months during the pandemic are best for Major events are suitable. Since we cannot assume at this point in time that the corona situation will have eased sufficiently by April, we are offering our customers the greatest possible planning security with the early postponement of the date in order to present their innovations at the world's most important industrial trade fair," says Dr. Jochen Köckler, Chairman of the Board of Management of Deutsche Messe AG.

The Hanover Fair in June will be the world's first major industrial fair and, with the main topics of digitization and sustainability, will provide clear impetus for innovative, efficient production and climate protection. Due to the high utilization of the exhibition center in Hanover with numerous events in early summer, the world's leading trade fair for industry has to be shortened to four days this year. In 2023 the Hannover Messe will take place again as usual over five days in April.

Partner country of the Hannover Messe 2022 is Portugal.
