Quantum technologies on the rise
07.07.2025 - World of Quantum 2025 in Munich recorded impressive growth with 160 exhibitors from 16 countries and over 22,000 visitors from 41 countries.
It established itself as a leading platform for quantum technologies, with a focus on quantum computing, communication, and sensor technology. The supporting program included two forums, over 70 specialist presentations, and a hackathon. Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer from Messe München highlighted the positive response and emphasized the industrial relevance of quantum technology.
Federal Research Minister Dorothee Bär and Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger underscored the growing political and social significance of the technology. The trade fair promoted exchange between science, industry, and start-ups and accelerated the market readiness of quantum technologies. Concrete applications in data encryption and environmental measurement were presented. The next World of Quantum will take place in 2027 and will once again serve as a central exchange platform for research and industry.
