Zeiss buys Polish manufacturer of optical 3D metrology

12.01.2023 - The Lenso company will be part of Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions in the future

Zeiss plans to expand the market presence in Poland for the Zeiss Industrial Quality & Research division by acquiring Lenso. Lenso, headquartered in Poznan, Poland, is a manufacturer of optical 3D metrology.

"We are pleased to be pooling our strengths and know-how in the important Polish market," says Dr. Marc Wawerla, Head of Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions. "Our goal is to be the number one for metrology and quality control in Poland and to shape the market," adds Michael Hubensack (CEO of SSC Carl Zeiss Poland). "We look forward to being part of Zeiss and to combining our efforts to offer our customers the best solutions," says Marek Radke, CEO of Lenso. "Being part of the Zeiss family will open up new opportunities for our teams and customers."

Once the transaction is completed, Lenso will be part of the Zeiss sales company in Poland within the Zeiss Industrial Quality Solution. Zeiss and Lenso will continue to be responsible for the services they offer their customers. Both sides have agreed not to disclose the financial details of this transaction.
