Geoff Roddick again Vice-Chair of GigE Vision Technical Committee

21.05.2012 -

Pleora Technologies is pleased to share that Geoff Roddick, Application Engineering Manager with Pleora, will be taking on the role of Vice-Chair of the GigE Vision Technical Committee. This role, held by Pleora since 2005, is a tangible demonstration of Pleora's tireless commitment to the ongoing development of the GigE Vision standard-an internationally accepted suite of protocols for transmitting video over Gigabit Ethernet. "Pleora continues to dedicate thought leadership and engineering resources to the GigE Vision Technical Committee," says George Chamberlain, Pleora President, "because we firmly believe that GigE Vision has advantages for high-performance video transmission and processing that are simply unmatched."

The appointment of Geoff Roddick was confirmed by the GigE Vision Technical Committee last week during The Vision Show, held in Boston, MA. This committee is made up of dedicated industry representatives, and is responsible for developing and maintaining the standard. The AIA, the world's largest machine vision trade association, oversees the ongoing development and administration of the standard.
