New safety card for frequency converters

Schneider Electric

As an extension or to retrofit the Altivar frequency converter, Schneider Electric has launched a new Safety Card, with which additional safety technology can be saved.

The new safety card is suitable for use with the frequency converter families ATV 340 (0 to 75 kW) for mechanical engineering and ATV 900 (0 to 1200 kW) for process technology sold by Schneider Electric. Can be optionally and modularly integrated into new or existing systems, it allows, depending on the application, a cost- and time-saving waiver of external security technology. The Safety Card has useful safety features that not only meet the requirements of the IEC 61800-5-2, but in some cases even exceed them.
