Richter comes from Schneider Electric, to which Proleit has belonged since August 2020. In his new position, he can draw on experience and industry knowledge that he has acquired through various management positions, most recently as Senior Vice President - Strategy Industrial Automation & Segments. Before joining Schneider Electric, he worked for McKinsey & Company for eight years. Richter holds a master's degree in engineering from the French university Centrale-Supélec and an MBA from the private business school INSEAD.

Proleit operates at seven international locations with over 600 employees worldwide. The company's automation solutions, process control systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) reinforce the software layer of Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure architecture and are used in more than 2,150 production facilities and over 110 countries by companies in the process engineering industry.
