HD Vision Systems becomes a partner of Bosch Rexroth platform

Users get quick and easy access to apps for industrial image processing

24.06.2021 - HD Vision Systems is now making functions and interfaces to standard area scan cameras available as a vision suite in the ecosystem of the ctrlX Automation automation platform from Bosch Rexroth. In addition, the two companies are developing customer-based machine vision applications and a use case for object recognition and oriented positioning using a Cartesian robot.

HD Vision Systems is a new partner of ctrlX World, the ecosystem of the automation platform ctrlX Automation from Bosch Rexroth. As a specialist in industrial image processing, HD Vision Systems supports production companies with hardware and software products based on light field technology and deep learning - whether for quality inspection, handling of workpieces or 3D scanning. From now on, the company will offer the Vision Suite from HD Vision Systems as an image processing app for the control platform ctrlX CORE in the ctrlX App Store together with Bosch Rexroth.

At the same time, Bosch Rexroth and HD Vision Systems are also developing joint customer-based machine vision solutions. A first use case deals with object recognition and oriented placement using a Cartesian robot. Components are automatically recorded using a 2D camera system that is connected to the ctrlX CORE controller via Ethernet. The Vision Suite processes the images and identifies the components, determines their position and makes the data available to the robot for accurate gripping. They are then stored in a predefined grid. This enables further processing in downstream processes.
