"The safety of our customers, partners and employees is of utmost importance to us. In view of the current development of the pandemic, we have therefore decided with a heavy heart to cancel the MVTec Innovation Day planned for February 8 and 9, 2022," MVTec informs.

The company, which specializes in machine vision software, also does not intend to offer a virtual event - even though last year's virtual solution was quite successful. "The core of the event has always been to meet in person to discuss machine vision trends, projects and solutions. Even though we prepared many exciting presentations and demos on the latest trends and product developments, we know from our own experience and from feedback from our customers that an online event cannot replace the personal touch of a live event," explains the organizer.

Live event to mark company anniversary during Automatica in June

Instead, there will be a live event during this year's Automatica (June 21-24, 2022) in Munich. MVTec plans to celebrate its 25th anniversary on a half-day including a networking evening.

MVTec Innovation Day is then scheduled to return in 2023, as usual with machine vision trends, technologies and application examples.
