IDS: Next generation uEye cameras with USB 3.0

We are USB. IDS has been the leader in industrial USB cameras for a decade. We have now incorporated all of our knowledge into the next generation uEye cameras with USB 3.0. USB 3.0 offers a data rate of 400 MByte/s, 10 times higher than USB 2.0 and 3.5 times faster than GigE. The high performance interface allows simple and easy implementation and is perfectly suited for the operation of multi-camera and 3D systems. Due to their compact size (29x29x29 mm) and integrated power supply the new USB 3 uEye CP cameras are also the ideal choice for embedded systems.

Easy and Hassle-free Switching

Three different high performance sensors from e2v and Aptina are available for the new USB 3 uEye camera family, ranging from VGA to 5 Megapixel. Depending on the sensor, the cameras offer frame rates of up to 100 frames/s. Additional high performance sensors, e.g. the 2 and 4 Megapixel CMOS sensors from CMOSIS and CCD sensors from Sony will follow in the next months. IDS' proven software package also supports the USB 3 uEye CP camera family. Integrating GigE, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 into one system or switching between interfaces is absolutely easy and hassle-free. This results in a great interoperability and flexibility and hence greatest benefit for customers, which is clearly a bonus of IDS.
