SLT 2024

An essential international user forum for the laser industry

The conference in English language will take place for the first time over three days, June 4 – 6, 2024, in the Kursaal Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt.

Event location: Stuttgart
Country: Germany

The Institut für Strahlwerkzeuge (IFSW) at the University of Stuttgart cordially invites laser experts to participate in the 12th Stuttgart Laser Technology Forum (SLT).

The traditional invited talks will be supplemented by ‘contributed’ presentations. Experts from science, research and industry will talk about current and future developments in areas such as laser material processing, laser beam sources, laser optics, quantum technologies and artificial intelligence in production.

An accompanying exhibition will enrich the conference program. The conference dinner (in the „Kleiner Kursaal“) and the laboratory tour at the IFSW, Stuttgart University, guarantee not only two pleasant evenings with good food, but also plenty of time for networking and intensifying personal contacts.

The mission of the SLT is to address laser technologies for materials processing in a fundamentally scientific and yet comprehensible manner with a strong contribution by international and German research institutions and exemplify the scientific conclusions by presentations on corresponding industrial implementations.

Invited plenary speakers on 4 June will be Prof Jens Anders, Institute of Smart Sensors, University of Stuttgart, and Dr Michael Förtsch, Q.ant GmbH. On the second day, apl. Prof. Benno Willke, Leibniz University Hannover and Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics, and Eric Mottay, Amplitude Laser, will follow. On 6 June, Dr Ben Mills, Optoelectronics Research Centre, University of Southampton, and Dr Christian Daniel, Robert Bosch GmbH, will give plenary talks. The conference language is English.

Early bird discounts available until 28 April, registration at: www.conftool.org/slt2024/
