Panasonic unites camera business in new company

Security Solutions and Industrial Medical Vision business units become i-PRO Emea

07.07.2021 - Panasonic is restructuring its camera business: Accordingly, the European business units "Security Solutions" and "Industrial Medical Vision" (IMV) will be merged into the newly founded independent company i-PRO Emea B.V. (i-PRO Emea). Both business units are headquartered in Wiesbaden, Germany, and are currently still part of Panasonic System Communications Company Europe (PSCEU). The new company is scheduled to begin operations on Oct. 1, 2021, as part of Japan-based Panasonic i-PRO Sensing Solutions Co. (PIPS).

"PSCEU has changed its strategic direction as part of a global transformation. Therefore, we have been looking for a partner company to successfully continue our security and IMV business and expand it according to the requirements of today's market and customers. We are convinced that PIPS is the best choice to successfully run this business in the future", explains Hiroyuki Nishiuma, Managing Director of PSCEU.

The new company will be based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
